Subject: The Court also recalling the jurisprudence of the Court of Strasbourg in the matter of disappearance of political opponents to the regime, has deemed the Amnesty Law of 1979 in contrast with the norms of the American Convention on Human Rights and has sentenced the State for the forced disappearance of 62 persons, members of the Guerrillha do Araguaia, between 1972 and 1974, during the military dictatorship.
