Subject: The Committee noted that the policemen guilty the murder of Mr. Gongadze were sentenced in first instance on March 15, 2008. Representatives of the States Parties noted that investigations lasting more than 7 years and was asked the Ukrainian authorities to take necessary measures in order to make concrete and visible progress in the procedure. The Committee encouraged the authorities to intensify their efforts to ensure the interdependence and effectiveness of investigations in Ukraine.
