Subject: The European Data Protection Supervisor welcomed the horizontal approach presented by the Commission in its Communication. It is an essential step in the direction of a comprehensive framework for the exchange of PNR data. However certain aspect has to be ameliorated. It calls for more precision in the global approach with regard to the minimal safeguards applicable to all agreements.
