Subject: The Court held:by five votes to two, that there had been no violation of Article 2 (right to life) of the European Convention on Human Rights concerning the killing of the applicant’s father;unanimously, that there had been a violation of Article 2 concerning the failure to conduct an effective investigation into the circumstances of his death;unanimously, that there had been a violation of Article 13 (right to an effective remedy) of the Convention; and,unanimously, that there had been a failure to comply with Article 38 § 1 (a) (obligation to furnish necessary facilities for the examination of the case).
