Subject: The European Parliament recognised that the Internet can be an extraordinary opportunity to enhance active citizenship. However it also emphasized the need for an enhanced awareness and informed consent of users with respect to their e-activities involving the sharing of personal data. The European Parliament moreover affirmed that the protection of minors has to be strengthed.
