Subject: The Satversmes Tiesa judges on the compatibility of Ministerial Regulations n°899 of 31 October 2006, concerning “procedures for the reimbursement of expenses regarding the purchase of medical products and equipments for outpatient treatments”, with the principle of equality before the law provided by the Constitution of the State. The Court, also applying the jurisprudence of the Court of Strasbourg, has stated the legitimacy of the limits provided for reimbursement procedures in favour of certain categories of persons in order to ensure the widest possible accessibility to medical products and thus guarantee the right to health.
