Subject: The Court dismissed the action brought by Hungary seeking the annulment of the directive (EU) 2018/957 strengthening the rights of posted workers. Given, in particular, the changes in the internal market following the successive enlargements of the European Union, the Court affirmed that the EU legislature could undertake a reassessment of the interests of undertakings taking advantage of the freedom to provide services and the interests of their workers posted to a host Member State, in order to ensure that the freedom to provide services is exercised by those undertakings and undertakings established in the host Member State on a level playing field
