Subject: The Court concluded, by six votes against one:  a violation of Article 3 (prohibition of inhuman or degrading treatment) of the European Convention on Human Rights because of mistreatment Ms. Doğan at its custody and,  the violation of Article 3 of the Convention because of the failure of Turkish authorities to conduct an effective investigation about allegations of mistreatment made by the complainant.
