Other Decisions 51/06 (05/10/2007)
Authority: Constitutional Court of South-Africa
Date: 10/05/2007
Subject: With regard to the prohibition to wear a nose ring imposed by a school to a student, the Constitutional Court has stated that the custom of wearing such jewel derives from the Hindu culture, following a tradition inseparably linked to the Hindu religion.
