Subject: The European Parliament condemns the recent attacks on Christian communities in various countries and all acts of violence against Christians and other religious communities as well as all kinds of discrimination and intolerance based on religion and belief against religious people, apostates and non-believers; it stresses once again that the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion is a fundamental human right. It calls on the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Police to develop as a matter of urgency an EU strategy on the enforcement of the human right to freedom of religion, including a list of measures against states who knowingly fail to protect religious denominations.
