Title: Comparative public law aspects of class actions

Subject: In accordance with most other European Countries, the Italian legal system has introduced class actions with the financial law for the year 2008 (law 24 December 2007, n. 244), which has added number 7 bis to art. 50 bis of the civil procedure code. The introduction of the new remedy, which the Author compares with the European and north-American experiences, has met some resistance and has aroused criticism concerning both mere procedural aspects and the compatibility with our legal system
