Subject: The Author recalls that Italy, from 6 May 2009, after the coming into force of the Treaty of friendship with Libya, has carried out repellings at high sea towards such Country, which prevent all those who try to reach the Italian coasts from having access to any form of international protection, and examines the compatibility of such repellings with the Convention of Geneva and the European Convention of Human Rights.
