Subject: The Supreme Court of Canada has recognized the responsibility of the Canadian Government for the violation of the rights to liberty and security of Omar Ahmed Khadr, in relation to his detention in the prison of Guantanamo. With regard to the request of repatriation lodged by the claimant, the Court, in virtue of the principle of separation of powers, has established that the Government, and not the Court, is competent to decide in such matter.
