Subject: The European Commission considers that Directive created high European legal standards to enforce intellectual property rights. However it notes that Internet increased the opportunities to infringe the intellectual property rights and that the products infringing these rights pose a threat to consumer health and safety. According to the Commission, several issues could deserve further attention, as injunctions and procedures to gather and preserve evidence.
