Notices: The European Parliament made a reference several times on the Charter of fundamental rights, highlighting that it will become legally binding when the Treaty of Lisbon will be in force. The European Parliament underlined moreover that, irrespective of its legal status, the Charter has over the years become a source of inspiration in the case-law of the European courts, such as the Court of First Instance and the European Court of Justice, the ECtHR and many constitutional courts.
