Subject: The Parliamentary Assembly is firmly committed to the pursuit of peace and the principles embodied in the Statute of the Council of Europe: democracy, human rights and the rule of law, as well as to principles of state sovereignty, the right to territorial integrity and the inviolability of frontiers of states. Respect of these principles is an obligation incumbent upon all member states of the Council of Europe.
