Subject: The Tribunal Superior de Justicia de Castilla y León judges on a claim lodged against a decision of the No. 2 Administrative Court of Valladolid of 14.11.2008, which ordered the removal of religious symbols from the public college “Macías Picavea”. The Court, analyzing the Spanish Courts and the Court of Strasbourg’s previous jurisprudence, has partially admitted the claim, establishing that, in virtue of the right to religious and ideological freedom, such symbols have to be removed from the common parts and from only those classrooms where their presence had been clearly objected to.
